Resolved Question: Justice of the Peace and Wedding Ceremony?

Ok, here’s the thing. My fiance’s family is getting a little upset because we are living together. And we aren’t married yet. A lot of his family members have said that we should be living together yet. So that got him thinking about going to the court house and getting married by the justice of the peace. The thing is, i bought my wedding dress already, we have the toasting flutes, cake topper, cake knife and server. He thinks it would be weird to have a wedding ceremony if we already went to the justice of the peace. Please help, i want a wedding ceremony, but yet i don’t like that his family is upset about us living together and not being married. What do i do? Please help!!!
We both think it would be weird to go through saying vows twice. It would be two years before we could have the wedding ceremony. But we just think that’s weird cuz we can’t say it’s a “renewing of vows” after just two years.
My family is the type of people that get mad if they are not included in things that i do. and i have a lot of people like that in my family so i know that the wedding ceremony and reception won’t be small. and he has a lot of family that would want to be there too.

Voting Question: Does anyone remember Dustmans Wedding Cake, I need a recipe.?

My local baker sold this around 30 years ago. It is NOT bread pudding. I understood that it is made with cake leftover instead of bread. It looks like bread pudding but was smoother and was cut into squares with pink icing on top. Would be grateful for some help in recreating this cake. Thank you
